A Realistic And Constructive Guideline For Training

Posted by on

Dollar Driving School would like to give our clients a realistic and constructive guideline for training your new driver.
1. The Department of Motor Vehicles has set a MINIMUM REQUIREMENT of six hours of professional training and 50 hours 10 of which to be administered in the dark with Parent, Guardian, licensed instructor or any driver 25 years or older with a clean valid California driving license.
2. The Federal Government has recognized a need for at LEAST 10 hours of Professional training.

3. We at Dollar Driving School after 35 years of successfully training the public professionally have known for many years that the State minimum requirement is just that, minimum. We would like you to consider a MINIMUM OF 12-18 hours of professional training. At least the first six before you get involved with a parent and a MINIMUM of 80-120 hours of parental training interspersed with supplemental hours with your instructor before going for a license. In our vast experience we have found that the State minimum requirement is just not adequate and by doing considerably more training we reduce the chances of a collision / accident and injury to you the driver and the general public.
The need to recognize this is long overdue and it will hopefully save many more lives when implemented.

Thanks for sharing this advice when it comes to practicing for your driver’s test! It really is important to take your driving seriously, especially since it will affect how you drive for the rest of your life. The fact that you focus on driving in the dark as well is really awesome too.
